T O P I C R E V I E WSelenaHello all,I am interested in your examples of house overlays with someone you were most in love or attracted to. I am interested how important they are in synastry, and your thoughts on this. My love interest has his five planets + ASC in my fifth house, and my three personal planets are in his seventh house. Fourth and eighth houses are also tentated (moon and ascendant). Has anyone had a similar situation, or a heavey influence on one or two particular houses? Looking forward to your observations, S.cappyI think that they cannot be stressed enough: I have my sun in my current interest's 4th house, his IC. I had housing problems while relocating abroad (his country) and he invited me to stay at his place and search for housing on site. What was to be two weeks turned to six and his friends were like, that is so strange because he is so jealous of his private space that he always refused to share an apartment that is definitely too big for him while badly needing money to make ends meet. I think most were waiting for when he would kick me out but though we do thngs differently that didn't happen...he never put any pressure on my leaving though I did feel weird about imposing.Beyond that, that was my first experience living with a "boyfriend" and I'm weird with my space as well, always refused to have a roommate. But I felt comfortable with him...I felt at home. His sun is in my 5th house though: it is the house of fun, creativity and I definitely have lots of fun with him...just hanging out without talking fills me up.I blabber too much but that was my experience...alanabelle86This is my Composite chart with my boyfriendAscendant in LibraSun in Scorpio 2nd houseMoon in Scorpio 1st houseMercury in Scorpio 2nd houseVenus in Sagittarius 2nd houseMars in Sagittarius 3rd houseJupiter in Aquarius 5th houseSaturn in Sagittarius 2nd houseUranus in Sagittarius 3rd houseNeptune in Capricorn 3rd housePluto in Scorpio 1st houseThis is our synastryMy boyfriend's Saturn, Uranus, Sun, Venus, and Mercury fall in my 2nd houseMy Sun, Pluto, Mercury, and Venus fall in his 2nd houseAny issue/problem we encounter together has to do with values, money, and communication. So it looks like the house placement are as important as the aspects, eg. they point where the strenght of planets and apspects will show up. I really hope that somenone else will add more examples, this is very interesting!NodeMy romantic/karmic interest has houses almost identical to my own. Others with great experience, including moderators on this site have told me that this isn't necessarily a good thing. It can be a threatening experience for some people who are not tapped into their super/sub concious. Our Moons are in each others 7th house though. His stellium is also in the 7th, besides his Moon [this is Pisces BTW] Venus, Mercury, Chiron, and Anteros. This conjuncts my Karma, and Moon. Besides that our Nodes are flip flopped. My South Node in Taurus conjunct his North Node in Taurus, which contacts MY Stellium in Taurus 9th House. The magnetic pull is powerful. Driven by his 1st house Pluto/Uranus conjunction [virgo] to my jupiter which opposes the stellium in Pisces. The 9th house contacts have stimulated my learning about this, the situation, and healing myself thru the karma involved. I have learned much about my inner deamons and spirituality [9th] thru love/others [7th] and self, my own power as a person [1st] It has been a life altering experience No matter what happens day to day [we work together] Irritations, disappointments, and the like I have learned about unconditional love, and what my needs as a person truly are. He has helped me to discover my true self. I will carry a torch for him to the end of my days. EDIT P.S. His Sun is in Aquarius 6th [work] and thru our working together I have learned to separate emotion from intellect-> to DIS associate, a much needed lesson for me.astro junkieSelena -One easy way for me to remember the power of the Houses in Synastry is, if they've got a Planet in your House, the issues of that particular House is MORE illuminated TO YOU. And when you have a Planet in THEIR House, you illuminate that House for THEM.Of course, the Planet & House details are looked at as well. But I think the above is a good rule to always keep at the forefront.Finding stuff out there on Synastry overlays is not as easy as finding placements in Composites, or so it seems...But this site is really good, and the section on Synastry may help you get a grasp on it, but it only goes up to "Mars". www.astrology-numerology.com/synastry-houses.html ------------------ ... it's better to light a candle than curse the darknessastroleoladyHi Selena,A few links for you:House Overlays http://www.cafeastrology.com/synastry_house_overlays.html Synastry: Planet Overlays in Houses http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/synastryplanetsinhouses.html You Light Up My Life: Sun in Houses in Synastry http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/synastrysuninhouses.html If you are looking for a synastry book that provides interpretations for planets in houses, "The Astrology of Human Relationships" by Sakoian & Acker is a good one.SelenaThanks, everyone! Astreolady, I will buy this book. I have many astrology books, but none about the houses in synastry. I have one book about synastry that Stephen Arroyo recommended in his book "Relationships and life Cycles", I can't remember the name of it by heart, probably because I didn't like it at all. It was very "cookbooky" and pretty much what I could have concluded myself. I am now looking for something a bit more evolved than that. Cheers, S.astroleoladySelena,You're welcome. It sounds really interesting, I don't have any book like that, mentioning dispositors as well as the houses. The book I have is called :"How to handle your human relations" by Lois Sargent, and Arroyo strongly recommends it in his book. It is a tiny book, very thin, lots of aspects are bungled together (eg. trine, sextile, conjunction). I mean, it is certainly O.K. for the beginner, very clear, but I need a bit more than that. Thanks again, I'll check it out on Amazon.com Cheers, SelenaastroleoladySorry I took so long to get back to you. I've been busy the past few days. You're very welcome and thank you!
